Oliver Scamander is infatuated with Cedric Diggory, and when Cedric is chosen as a Triwizard Champion, Oliver vows to help him win in hopes of earning his love. But when Oliver discovers Cedric has been using him to succeed in the competition, he sabotages the final challenge, leading to disastrous consequences...
