The Athenaeum Theatre is one of the oldest public institutions in Victoria, Australia, founded in 1839. The theatre is located in the heart of Melbourne, next to the Town Hall which is on the corner of Collins and Swanston Streets.
GETTING TO THE VENUE
BY TRAM: Trams run along Collins Street and Swanston Street, stopping right outside the theatre. Take Yarra Trams route 1, 3, 3A, 5, 6, 8, 16, 64, 67 or 72 to stop number 13; or route 35, 70 or 75 to stop number 5.
BY TRAIN: Flinders Street is the closest train station, immediately opposite Fed Square and a one block walk to Collins Street.
BY CAR: The closest car parks are the City Square car park under the Westin Hotel on Collins Street, or Wilson parking on the corner of Russell Street and Lt Collins Street.
