IT’S TIME FOR A NEW ADVENTURE!
The brand-new production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is now playing at the Princess Theatre.
19 years after Harry, Ron and Hermione saved the Wizarding World, they’re joined by a brand-new generation of witches and wizards who are about to begin their journey.
Direct from Broadway, this dazzling new production can now be enjoyed in one magical evening. This is your chance to experience this spectacular event that delivers spellbinding adventure and even more magic per minute.
The magic now continues and intensifies, only at Melbourne’s Princess Theatre.
The six-time Tony Award-winning Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has been enchanting Australian audiences since 2019. Now, the formerly two-part production has been newly transfigured into a one-night magical event. Get Harry Potter and the Cursed Child tickets on TodayTix.
What to Watch For:
The Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play picks up right where the last Harry Potter film left off: on Platform 9 3/4, where Harry Potter, now married to Ginny Weasley and 19 years past the Battle of Hogwarts, is seeing his son Albus Severus off to his first year at the wizarding school.
The script for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was also released as “the eighth Harry Potter book” on the eve of July 31, 2016, Harry Potter’s birthday. That same night, on July 30, the show played its very first performance in London.
The premiere of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in Melbourne took place in January 2019, and was the third production following London and New York. Melbourne is the only city in Australia you can see the show.
The Princess Theatre, inside and out, underwent a total renovation specifically to host this unique production and ensure a magical experience. Check out the stunning facade and notice the carpet which is patterned with magical symbols.
