The Los Angeles Master Chorale begins its 54th season with a towering choral pillar - Carl Orff’s shamelessly popular and wildly rambunctious Carmina Burana, depicting medieval revelry and all the pleasures to be found in life. The program also celebrates the centenary of Leonard Bernstein with his lyrical Chichester Psalms, a musical depiction of Bernstein’s wish for brotherhood and peace blending biblical Hebrew verse and Christian choral tradition, featuring some of the most tender music Bernstein ever composed.
Recommended for ages 6 and up.
