About Carmen
See Carmen at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Rihab Chaieb stars in this premiere of a brand-new production that brings Spanish Gothic style to the stage. Carmen is a fiercely independent woman. When she charms Don José, a naive soldier, in order to escape some trouble she never imagined that he would abandon his childhood sweetheart and desert his post to follow her. As Carmen begins a new relationship with the bullfighter Escamillo, Don José's passion turns dark and deadly.
