Laura Benanti is Broadway’s new Eliza Doolittle in “My Fair Lady,” starting Oct. 23, and the part is the Tony winner’s ultimate dream role. When the news was announced, Benanti tweeted, “THIS IS MY DREAM YOU GUYS MY LIFELONG DREAM AND ITS HAPPENING.”

Benanti was seen on Broadway last season in Steve Martin’s “Meteor Shower,” with Amy Schumer, and she will replace Lauren Ambrose in the role. In honor of her dream coming true, we look back at her performance of Eliza’s quintessential number “I Could Have Danced All Night” at Ham4Ham in 2015.
