Bursting through the doors of the Imperial Theatre in Dave Malloy’s Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 is a lot different than doing the same at Ars Nova, where the show originated in a small basement space. And Lucas Steele has been making an entrance as Anatole, the scheming love interest of the titular heroice, since the scrappy, Off-Broadway days with the show. He moved with the musical to the custom tent in the Meatpacking District to American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, Mass., to Broadway, where the show has garnered 12 Tony Award nominations including one for best featured actor in a musical for Steele.

Here, Steele answers Broadway Style Guide‘s rapid-fire questions.
