We’re celebrating Black History Month all February long with African American men and women who have made incredible contributions to the theater.

August Wilson was undoubtedly a major force in the theater. Among many of his famous works is The Pittsburgh Cycle, for which he received two Pulitzer Prizes for Drama. In the series, each play is set in a different decade and depicts various aspects of the African American experience in the 20th century.
