5 Places to Eat (and Give Back) During Pride
Who doesn’t love a milkshake with a side of charitable giving? This Pride, several restaurants are giving back to charitable causes, like Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDs, the Trevor Project, and more. So in between marches, Broadway shows, and drag brunches, check out these great deals.
Hakkasan New York
Where: 311 W. 43rd Street
What: Cocktails for a cause! Located in the theatre district, Hakkasan New York will offer two specialty drinks throughout the month of June in celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride Month. Named PRIDE and EqualiTea, the Cantonese restaurant has teamed up with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS to donate $5 from each $20 cocktail to the organization — which helps those living with HIV and AIDS.

What: Take it to the roof! During the month of June, the popular rooftop hotspot in midtown Manhattan will offer a frosé called “Give a Sip,” made with rosé, orange cordial and lemon. And for every frosé purchased, $1 will be donated to benefit the Trevor Project. Sliders, flatbreads and small plates are also available.

What: Complete your burger and fries with Shake Shack’s new Pride Shake in celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride Month. Not only does the frozen treat sound delicious (a strawberry shake blended with Shack-made lemonade and topped with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles!), for each shake, $1 will be donated to the Trevor Project.

What: Head over to the popular Hell’s Kitchen Mexican restaurant to spice up your margaritas with a little extra Pride. Throughout the month of June, Añejo cocktails are getting fruity with the Bamm Bamm Rubble, which uses Fruity Pebbles-infused tequila with a blend of pineapple, orange, lemon, and pomegranate frozen and rimmed with Fruity Pebbles. For every cocktail purchased, Añejo will donate $2 to The Trevor Project.

What: Feeling the need to unleash your inner diva after dinner? The Hell’s Kitchen restaurant is offering karaoke nights throughout June, and they’ll also sell t-shirts during the month to help generate funds for PrEP access, helping in-need communities most at risk of contracting HIV.
