The Los Angeles Theatre Center
The Los Angeles Theatre Center (the LATC) aims to provide a world-class arts center for those pursuing artistic excellence; a laboratory where both tradition and innovation are honored and honed; a place where the convergence of people, cultures, and ideas contribute to the future.
About The Los Angeles Theatre Center
The Los Angeles Theatre Center is an eight story facility housing five theaters, two dance studios, a large rehearsal space, dressing room facilities, and Beautiful Historic Grand lobby. In January 2006, the Latino Theater Company was awarded a 20-year lease for the Los Angeles Theatre Center from the City of Los Angeles and received a $4 million grant from the California Cultural and Historic Endowment to refurbish the building. In October 2007, the building was re-opened as the new Los Angeles Theatre Center.
The mission of The Los Angeles Theatre Center is to provide a world-class arts center for those pursuing artistic excellence; a laboratory where both tradition and innovation are honored and honed; a place where the convergence of people, cultures, and ideas contribute to the future.
