Video: Yolanda Mercy’s ‘Quarter Life Crisis’ Cake
Our brilliant baking Social Ambassador, Bradley Escorcio, has come up with another incredible theatre-inspired sweet treat, and this time, he’s celebrating fellow Ambassador, playwright Yolanda Mercy.
Yolanda’s show, “Quarter Life Crisis” has wowed critics and audiences alike. Last year she took the show to the Edinburgh fringe, Nigeria, around the UK – she’s truly a rising star of the London theatre scene. Her show follows Yolanda’s character Alicia, who finds herself at a bit of a crossroads as she comes to terms with being a modern adult.
‘Even though she’s a Londoner, born and bred, the scent of Lagos peppers her existence in the ends. Everyone around her seems to know where they’re going in life, but she’s just trying to find ways to cheat growing up and keep her 16-25 railcard.’
To celebrate the show, Bradley designed a special cake and even sat down with Yolanda to talk about it, taking the show on tour and being a TodayTix Social Ambassador – check it out.
