That’s right, Motown The Musical has had London audiences dancing in the aisles for 500 fabulous performances! The show follows the story of Berry Gordy and his journey to create Motown Records, which launched the careers of Diana Ross and the Supremes, The Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and many more.

Having worked at the Ford Motor Company in Detroit (known as Motown due to the car industry), Berry Gordy saw how a large team working in-house together on a product could make something great. He gathered together a team of producers, songwriters and the legendary house band, The Funk Brothers, to begin making the sound that changed America.

Motown Records went on to produce over 525 albums, more than 57 #1 records and even released political songs to aid protests during the civil rights era!
