10 Characters We’d Love to Have Hot Chocolate With
Ever wanted to sit down and have a chat with a particular character? To find out what motivates them? Talk about their hopes and dreams? Well, since the weather calls for it, why not do it over a hot chocolate? Here are ten characters we’d love to meet up with for a cocoa date.
1. The Witch – Into the Woods

She’s not good, she’s not nice- she’s just right. One of the most complex of the musical theater characters of all time, The Witch teaches us the there are no true “villains.”
2. Sofia – The Color Purple

We love this woman! Sophia holds her own in a male-dominated society and refuses to take you-know-what from anyone.
3. Velma Kelly – Chicago

Perhaps the most alluring of Cook County’s six merry murderesses, Velma Kelly has the undeniable ability to transfix a person. We think she’d make an intriguing hot chocolate date, at the very least.
4. Hewing – Hedwig and the Angry Inch

While Hedwig may be a little rough around the edges, we can’t imagine anyone opting out of some one-on-one time with this glam rock icon.
5. Frank Abagnale, Jr. – Catch Me If You Can

Sure, we don’t know if he’ll show up as a lawyer, doctor, or pilot- but just think of the stories he could tell!
6. Elphaba – Wicked

Everybody’s favorite green girl. We’d hand over all our cocoa for one short day with Elphie.
7. Thomas Jefferson – Hamilton

Smart and sophisticated. We’d love to pick his brain about what it was like being the principal author of the Declaration of Independence, as well as where he gets his clothes.
8. Angel – RENT

Her name says it all. If you can watch RENT and not love Angel, you’re wrong.
9. The Wormwoods – Matilda

Okay, so you wouldn’t want them to be your parents, but the Wormwoods definitely have an undeniable swagger that makes us think they’d be fun to share a hot chocolate with.
10. Joanne – Company

Last but certainly not least, we’d like to grab a cocoa with Company’s Joanne. She’s wise, bold and tells it like it is.
Follow your hot chocolate date with a trip to the theater, where you can check out one of these festive holiday shows playing this month!
