About Cahn Auditorium
Cahn Auditorium is utilized for various performances and productions throughout the Northwestern school year. With over 1,000 seats and an orchestra pit, it is the highest-capacity performance space on campus. The annual Waa-Mu Show, one of the best-known and biggest college shows in the country makes its debut in Cahn Auditorium every spring. The auditorium was named for Bertram Cahn, a former civic leader, businessman, donor, trustee, and alumnus.
Light Opera Works is a resident professional not-for-profit music theater of Cahn Auditorium, founded in 1980. The mission is to produce and present various forms of musical theater from a variety of world traditions and to engage the community through outreach and educational programs.
