Directions

QPAC is located in a vibrant part of the city that is currently experiencing growth and development including roadworks that have temporarily changed access to the Centre, in particular the car park.

Please note, current roadworks may cause delays in travel times and we suggest you leave extra time to get to QPAC, so you don’t miss the start of your performance.

Train Stop at South Brisbane Station, opposite QPAC in Grey Street

Bus From 15 August the outbound bus services platform has moved to the end of Victoria Bridge across to the other side of Grey St (Melbourne St, opposite Starbucks Coffee). Platform 2 and Platform 3 will remain in this location for the duration of the Brisbane Metro works. Services will continue to operate from this temporary location as per bus timetables.

CityCat Stop at the South Bank ferry stop, which is only a short walk along the river from QPAC

Taxi The taxi area is located on the Grey Street side of QPAC. Free taxi phones are located in the Melbourne Street foyer, Cremorne Theatre lobby and near the Playhouse cloakroom.

Driving to QPAC From mid-July 2022 until 2024 road directions and access around QPAC and the Queensland Culture Centre will change due to ongoing Brisbane Metro construction. One of the most significant changes will be the permanent closure of Melbourne St between Grey St and Hope St to general vehicular traffic.

Access to the Cultural Centre car parks and the QPAC drop off zone opposite the South Brisbane train station will be via Montague Road.

Car Parking There are a range of parking options around QPAC including the following:

Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre Parking the best option for the Playhouse, with easy access via Russell Street. Entry via Grey Street (northbound) or Merivale Streets (southbound).

South Bank Parking Entry via Tribune or Glenelg Streets

Secure Parking offer evening and weekend parking at SW1 (32 Cordelia Street). Parking must be pre-booked online using Secure-a-Spot by selecting car park SW1. Once booked you will receive a PIN to enter and exit the car park.
