About The Till Trilogy - Benevolence

The now legendary story of Emmett “Bo” Till is believed by many to be the start of the modern civil rights movement of the 1950s and remains one of the most pivotal incidents in a monumental era. Experience the story in 3 parts.

Examines broader events surrounding Till’s murder on a more intimate scale. We meet Caroline Bryant, her husband Roy, and his twin brother Ray on the days before and after Emmett’s abduction, leaping forward to the summer of 2006 and the recantation of much of Caroline Bryant’s testimony. Act II is set in the neighboring town of Glendora and follows the relationship of a local black couple, Clinton and Beulah Melton (who are later murdered because of the information they possess), with a concluding epilogue bringing the trilogy to its moving resolution.
