About Stonewall 50

The Stonewall riots were a series of spontaneous demonstrations by members of the LGBTQ community against a police raid that took place in the early morning hours of June 28, 1969, at the Stonewall Inn in New York City. They are widely considered to be the most important event leading to the gay liberation movement and the modern fight for LGBTQ rights in the United States.

Join us for Stonewall 50: Rainbow Theatre Project’s eclectic celebration of the 50th anniversary of Stonewall. An evening of theatre, poetry and song! Directed by Stephanie Kelly.
