About Her Kind
What does it mean to be a woman in the times of the #metoo and #timesup movements? What would our historical sisters have to say about it? Bringing their “raucous and sublime” music-making to The Flea Theater for the first time, Opera on Tap’s credo is that the power of the human voice is best appreciated about 10 feet away, with a beer in hand.
From Sappho and Hildegard von Bingen to present day, this classical cabaret celebrates some of the innermost thoughts, desires, and experiences of women through songs by contemporary composers and poets.
Created and directed by Sara Noble. Featuring Elena Armijo, Kacey Cardin, Chelsea Feltman, Mila Henry, Cameron Russell, and Krista Wozniak.
All ages welcome.
