Self tape / Auditioning for film with Matthew James Thomas
About Self tape / Auditioning for film
A successful and functioning career rests heavily on the shoulders of your attitude. It is seldom a comfortable experience and you often have little or nothing to work with… So I’m here to give you permission to get really comfortable with the uncomfortable. We’ll explore how empathy is the centre of all great acting. We’ll cover all the technical elements of a self-tape… lights, equipment, eyelines, framing, slates, environment, readers etc. And I will give you some extremely fun homework.
In this tricky industry littered with misleading and inaccurate information, you begin to see that there really is no “correct” way of doing anything. Which really only leaves you one option: To be you, and most importantly... to be unapologetically exceptional at it. So please bring all the questions, and we’ll answer them. With love and anticipation.
