About The Judy Garland Easter Special: A Musical Salute To Spring
In 1948 Judy Garland starred with Fred Astaire and Peter Lawford in a little film called Easter Parade — that went on to become the year’s highest grossing musical. Now tribute artist Peter Mac steps into Garland’s high heels for The Judy Garland Easter Special, a musical salute to spring. Mac, a self-described “male actress” who’s portrayed the late, great actress to audience and critical acclaim for more than a decade, is known for his seriously fun and loving tributes to Garland. Famed for bringing a nuanced glimpse into Garland’s complex personality and inner life, Mac was awarded a Golden Halo Award by Garland’s co-stars Mickey Rooney and Margaret O’Brien for his stunningly accurate portrayal. Performing with Mac/Garland is everyone’s favorite Golden Girl, Bea Arthur (played by Mac’s real-life Husband Dr. John Mac). Celebrate springtime in the city at this cabaret featuring all your favorite Garland tunes at the Producers’ Club.
