About Daniel Block
Block has done big band work with Toshiko Akyoshi, Maria Schneider, Vince Giordano, Ken Peplowski and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. He has played and recorded with Michael Feinstein, Rosemary Clooney, Bobby Short, Tony Bennett, Catherine Russell and Paul Simon. Dan is on the jazz faculty at the Juilliard School. He has also done extensive film score work, and was heard on countless radio and TV commercials.
Rob Block hails from St. Louis Missouri. He has a masters degree in jazz performance from the University of New Orleans. Rob returned to New York City after living in St. Louis, New Orleans, and Chicago. He can be seen in many of New York City’s jazz venues.
Aaron Kimmel is a native of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. He holds a bachelor of music degree from The Juilliard School, where he studied with Kenny Washington and Billy Drummond, and he is now a freelance drummer living in New York City.
Neal “Sugar” Caine is one of the premier jazz bassist on the scene today. His dynamic style is punctuated by a huge sound, a great feel, and masterful technique that have made him the chosen bassist to an array of stars, from Harry Connick, Jr. and Diana Krall, to the venerable jazz legends Betty Carter and Elvin Jones.
