A Debate with 3 Andy Warhols
About A Debate with 3 Andy Warhols
Andy Warhol wants your vote! But so does Andy Warhol and Andy Warhol. Who do you trust to lead the country during these turbulent times?
Come to the cabaret at Caveat, have a drink & take in the final debate of the Presidential campaign before heading to the polls. The future of the country is at stake and only a Warhol can set us back on track.
“A Debate with 3 Andy Warhols”—in which the debate takes the form of a pop concert, complete with original pop songs—explores the collapse of celebrity and entertainment onto the world of politics. As Andy himself might say, "In the future, everyone will be the President of the United States for fifteen minutes."
Originally presented in June 2017 as part of Ars Nova’s ANT Fest, this production is timed to coincide with the midterm elections, as well as the November 12th opening of the Whitney Museum of American Art’s blockbuster Andy Warhol retrospective.
The dates of the show are: Monday October 29th, Tuesday October 30th, Monday November 5th, Monday November 12th, and Tuesday November 13th. The doors open at 9:00pm—with a curtain time of 9:30pm.
The show is in no way affiliated with The Commission on Presidential Debates.
