About This Little Light of Mine

This inventive musical tribute, written and performed by Adrienne Danrich, honors the groundbreaking careers of two African-American women who overcame many racial barriers from the Jim Crow era through the Civil Rights Movement to become international opera stars. The performance features arias and songs, storytelling, recorded excerpts and documentary images that shine a light on these operatic legends and the many African-American singers who walk in their footsteps.
