About Storm Boy

In a wild and remote area of coastline on South Australia’s Coorong, Storm Boy and his reclusive father live in a secluded shack, hidden away from the harsh realities of city life. After befriending a local Ngarrindjeri man, Storm Boy discovers three orphaned pelican chicks and decides to take them in. What follows is a remarkable journey of discovery that will change his life forever.

This much-loved story has enthralled generations of Australians both on the page and on screen. Now, Colin Thiele’s heart-warming classic STORM BOY is brought to life on stage in a theatrical event filled with unforgettable characters and a collection of astonishing life-size puppets by Dead Puppet Society.

Audio described performances on July 6 at 2pm and July 9 at 6:30pm.

Storm Boy is a co-production with Queensland Theatre.
