The 7 Stages of Grieving
About The 7 Stages of Grieving
The first Australian Aboriginal play to come to Los Angeles, "The 7 Stages of Grieving" is a remarkable play that addresses issues which can both separate and unite us in a way that is relevant, jubilant, and sometimes devastating. Having played nationally in Australia and internationally in London and Montreal, this universal story has been hailed as "a vital masterwork" and is now holding a mirror up to America by sharing Australia's Aboriginal people's fight for survival.
Presented by United Stages and Skylight Theatre in association with Grin & Tonic Theatre. This production acknowledges the Elders past and present of the Guugu Yimithirr Nation of the Cape York region of Queensland, the home of Thitharr Warra actor Chenoa Deemal, and all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people whose stories we share.
Recommended for ages 14 and up.
