The Book of Mormon
About The Book of Mormon
The Book of Mormon, winner of nine Tony Awards® and four Olivier Awards, including Best Musical for both, follows a pair of Mormon boys sent on a mission to a place that’s about as far away from Salt Lake City as you can get.
Tell Me More
Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the creators of the hilarious TV show ‘South Park’, are the brains behind The Book of Mormon, the international hit musical. This riotous comedy has had audiences in stitches since 2013, and while it draws attention for its mockery of religion, it’s the emotion, passion and conviction of the show that has captured the hearts of its fans.
Elder Price is a rising star amongst his church, with everyone expecting to see great things from this bright young Mormon. When it comes time for him to receive his mission from the church elders, his hopes of jetting off to Orlando are dashed when he is sent to Uganda. Not only that, he is paired with Elder Cunningham, whose challenging personality quirks and poor understanding of the church’s teachings don’t make him an ideal mission companion. Their task is to educate and convert villagers to join the Mormon church, but a local warlord is a challenge they didn’t expect!
