With an extraordinary story and the unforgettable, spine-tingling vocals that are sending audiences wild at every single show, this spectacular production soars with the classic songs, ‘And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going’, ‘I Am Changing’, ‘Listen’ and ‘One Night Only’.
Meet The Dreams – Effie, Lorell and Deena – three talented young singers in the turbulent 1960s, a revolutionary time in American music history.
Join the three friends as they embark upon a musical rollercoaster ride through a world of fame, fortune and the ruthless realities of show business, testing their friendships to the very limit.
“Dreamgirls” is a glitzy, glamorous look at the American music industry in the 1960s. An ambitious girl group, The Dreamettes, are on their way to the top of the charts with the help of their friends, family and shady manager. The show also deals with the harsh realities of being a black performer in the 60s, when these artists were working hard to change the face of American music. Relationships are tested and hearts break as their success grows and grows. Is fame more powerful than friendship?
“Dreamgirls” was nominated for five Olivier Awards in 2017, including Best New Musical, Best Costumes, and Outstanding Achievement in Music. With powerhouse vocals, heartbreaking drama, and beautiful songs that you’ll remember forever, “Dreamgirls” is more than a “one night only” experience.
What To Watch For
- The show is said to be based loosely on the story of Diana Ross and the Supremes, their rise to fame and the real relationships within the group.
- To create the dazzling crystal curtain seen in the latter part of the show, 60,000 crystals were provided by Swarovski!

Savoy Court, London, - WC2R 0ET
Designed by C I Phipps and decorated by Collinson & Locke, the most beautifully fitted theatre in Europe opened its doors on 10th October 1881 with a transfer from the Opera Comique of Gilbert and Sullivan’s opera Patience. Built at the instigation of Impresario Richard D’Oyly Carte, who wanted his own theatre in order to stage the works of Gilbert and Sullivan, the Savoy Theatre became famous as the first public building in the world to be lit by Incandescent electric lights and in one way or another it has been blazing ever since. On 3rd June, 1929, the Victorian auditorium was invaded by workmen and demolished and, 135 days later “a gleaming palace had sprung up”, a magic miracle of modernism built by Rupert D’Oyly Carte with Frank Tugwell as the architect and decorative designs by Basil Ionides. The Theatre re‑opened on 21st October 1929 with a revival of Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Gondoliers, designed by Charles Ricketts and conducted by Dr Malcolm Sargent.

All winners are drawn at random by a computerised process.
There are a limited number of discounted price tickets available as prizes for each lottery in the series, which are always drawn in two stages:
- All tickets available are drawn at random and assigned to winners
- If a winner declines or fails to claim their tickets within an hour, these tickets will be re-assigned at random to another entrant
Choosing to enter for either 1 or 2 tickets holds no bearing on your chances of being drawn as a winner.
When the winners are drawn for each lottery in the series, the same computer process will be used to randomly select "reserve" winners, as described in section 7 above (i.e. those who selected an individual ticket upon entry could become a "reserve" winner if one or more of the winners in stage 1 of the draw do not claim their respective ticket). If you are a "reserve" winner and the original winner does not claim the tickets, you will be sent an email 3 hours before the relevant performance to let you know that you’ve been assigned as a winner. All replacement winners are selected from the drawn "reserve" at random.
TodayTix takes no responsibility for undelivered ‘winner’ emails or push notifications.
Please note that your entry into a lottery for the chance to purchase 1 or 2 discounted price tickets for a particular performance will not be rolled-over to any lottery for another performance.
