Tell Me More
The Prince of Egypt is based on the story as told in the Book of Genesis. Raised as brothers, Moses and Rameses live a blissful childhood. One is the rightful heir, one is an adopted brother. So when their pasts come to the surface, an eternal division is struck. Rameses then spends his adult life as Pharaoh, while Moses sets out to free the Israelites from a lifetime of persecution. After a gruelling journey, Moses eventually parts the Red Sea, in turn saving the Israelites from Rameses’ wrath, with Moses later receiving the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai.
Since opening at the Dominion Theatre in 2020, The Prince of Egypt has already made its mark as an epic musical. With stunning scenic design transporting audiences to Egyptian lands and rousing musical numbers like “Deliver Us”, it’s no surprise that this biblical musical will inspire audiences. So, join Moses on the journey of a lifetime at the Dominion Theatre.
