It's Miss Hope Springs
Underbelly: Circus, Cabaret, & More!
About It's Miss Hope Springs
Live at the piano, down on her luck, highly medicated, comedy cabaret chanteuse, Miss Hope Springs plays and sings musical numbers from her self-penned vintage Vegas repertoire going back to the early sixt… seventies. Hear toe-tapping show tunes, finger-snapping pop, heart-rendering torch songs are interspersed with scandalous revelations from her ‘Ritz to the pits’ showbiz life in LA, Paris, Berlin and erm, Dungeness where she now lives in a camper van with her husband Irving and his close hairdresser pal Carlos. Still wearing sequins and feathers she fled to Pink Pelican Casino wearing in 1972, Hope spills the beans on her paramours from Liberace to Noel Coward taking us on a trip down her, by now somewhat potholed Memory Lane in this ‘Smash hit laugh out loud-move you to the tears show’ (Broadway World). Miss Hope Springs is the ‘cult creation’ (the Times) of international acclaimed songwriter, pianist, singer and comic actor Ty Jeffries who grew up between Pinewood and Hollywood where he mixed with Shirley MacLaine, Diana Dors, Shelley Winters and even danced with Fred Astaire, all of which adds authenticity to his ‘stellar portrayal of a jaded faded star’ (Fringe Review).
