About Joseph

A new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s multi-award winning musical is returning to The London Palladium in summer 2019 for a strictly limited run!

BAFTA and Olivier Award-winning actress Sheridan Smith stars as the Narrator in the eagerly anticipated revival, with Jason Donovan returning to The London Palladium in the role of Pharaoh, alongside newcomer Jac Yarrow in the iconic role of Joseph.

Released as a concept album in 1969, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has become one of the world’s most iconic musicals, featuring songs that have gone on to become pop and musical theatre standards, including Any Dream Will Do and Go, Go, Go, Joseph.

Playing a strictly limited 11-week summer season from Thursday 27 June through until Sunday 8 September 2019.

Tell Me More

No matter the age or generation, audiences can consistently rely on “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’s” promise of sheer delight. Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice have always been a powerhouse writing team in the musical theatre world, but their first publicly performed collaboration dates back to this joyful musical. First produced in the 1970s, this (techni)colourful classic has been entertaining families internationally on both amateur and professional stages for decades.

A long-time favourite for families, the seminal show loosely follows the biblical story of Joseph from the Book of Genesis, tracing his turbulent but triumphant journey after his jealous brothers force him down a treacherous path. Join Joseph on his quest to return to his rightful place and retrieve his special coat. Opening at the spectacular London Palladium with a spectacular production to match, this highly anticipated revival includes all the beloved songs including “Go, Go, Go Joseph,” “Any Dream Will Do,” and “Close Every Door.”
