Tell Me More
In a failing flower shop on Skid Row, a plant has mysteriously appeared after a total eclipse of the sun. Florist assistant Seymour stays behind one night to tend to the plant and discovers the shocking secret to its health and growth: human blood. He allows his cravings for fame and fortune to seduce him into taking care of the man-eating plant (named Audrey II after his beautiful co-worker). After coming up with a plan to murder the shop owner to use him as plant food, Seymour then builds up the courage to confess his love for Audrey. Can they destroy the plant before things get out of hand?
Howard Ashman and Alan Menken’s acclaimed musical features a wonderfully crazy story and hit songs including “Suddenly Seymour” and “Somewhere That’s Green.” In a spectacular twist, American drag queen Vicky Vox brings a whole new fabulous layer to the murderous plant. Directed by Maria Aberg, this vibrant revival of the sci-fi cult musical serves up a sassy and fabulous dose of musical genius.
