Wild Women of Planet Wongo
About Wild Women of Planet Wongo
Escape to a world run by Women!
Amazonian warrior women and their alluring Queen first meet men when two bumbling astronauts crash onto Planet Wongo. Landing in Chicago after a long NY run, this rock-n-roll immersive musical sci-fi spoof propels the audience into the middle of a madcap 60’s B movie experience. With no seats or stage, audience members are encouraged to engage with the actors and move around the space.* Willing audience members become part of the show by participating in Wongo Game Shows where they can win prizes. Others can simply watch the zaniness, dance or replenish their green Wongotini cocktails.
Come see the show the NY Times described as “...unstinting with its energy and enthusiasm.” Grab your friends, put on your purple wigs and green sequins, and join the cosmic fun!
*Audience members are encouraged to wear purple and green, especially wigs or outer-space themed costumes. Several appropriately dressed audience members will win prizes and/or be selected to participate in the game shows.
Please note: Everyone stands during the show and should be comfortable standing for periods of about 20 minutes at a time. The show is immersive and the actors will engage the audience. There is some limited seating available that can be reserved in advance by contacting us at email@example.com. The Chopin Theatre is not wheelchair accessible and audiences are required to use a flight of stairs to enter the theatre.
