Synopsis
NEW YORK CITY – The year is 1965. The infamous “Needle Park,” becomes the backdrop for an interactive, immersive journey of addiction and its aftermath. Inspired by these breathtaking photographs, Live In Theater (LIT), the Drama Desk nominated and Gold Sabre Award winning interactive ensemble, created J & K 1965.
LIT’s creative director and the author of the piece, Carlo D’Amore, explores the potential immersive theater has as a tool for true empathic connection. In J & K 1965, the audience will Live In the work and be complicit in the love story at the heart of these “two lives lost to heroin.”
