Amelia Day & The Cloves:
Washington-born, Nashville-based artist Amelia Day joined forces with Seattle-area band The Cloves in late 2022 as folk-rock collaboration "Amelia Day & The Cloves." The group's unique sound, which features Wurlitzer electric piano, cello, and lush 3-part harmonies, has landed them headlining shows at iconic Washington venues, including Mcmenamin's Spanish Ballroom and Seattle's The Triple Door. You may have even heard their live version of John Prine's "Angel from Montgomery" on KEXP this spring! Last fall, Amelia Day released her acclaimed debut folk EP, "Eastward of Eden," and has since performed at classic Nashville venues like "The Basement" and "The East Room" and even opened up for folk-pop powerhouse Stephen Sanchez.
The Cloves are a folk mainstay in their own right - in the band's 20-year existence, they have been featured on KEXP, played venues and festivals like The Showbox, Folk Life and Chinook Fest, and even had their song "A Million Reasons" featured on ABC. The collaboration between The Cloves and up-and-comer Amelia Day is one of those rare cases where both artists stay true to their natural sound, while still blending styles seamlessly and authentically. Both Amelia Day and The Cloves share their origins in the small town of Sumner, WA and are looking forward to bringing their familiar, yet fresh, folk sound to The Triple Door's stage on August 9th!
