Max Wolf Friedlich is a young playwright on the rise, and Job marks his Broadway debut. Similar to a harrowing Black Mirror episode, Job follows young tech professional Jane following a public mental breakdown. Only able to return if she gets approved from her therapist, their sessions together explore modern themes, including work addiction, social media, and mental health. All the while, a force binds Jane and her therapist ever closer together.
Best known for playing Frank on Succession, Peter Friedman is a theatre mainstay, earning a Tony Award nomination for Ragtime (original cast) and several Drama Desk Award nominations, including one win. Sydney Lemmon is Jack Lemmon’s granddaughter and marks her Broadway debut with this new play. A New York Times Critic’s Pick, the show enjoyed two highly acclaimed off-Broadway runs and is, per The New Yorker, “engrossing, disturbing, and frequently funny.” The play runs for a limited time and promises a wild ride.
