Santa Monica Playhouse presents the world-premiere of renowned playwright Jerry Mayer’s 11th play, directed by Chris DeCarlo. As it is written, “Hope for the best, plan for the worst, and pray that the law of averages is on your side when the schmutz hits the fan.” Interfaith lovers, in-your-face fathers, what could possibly go wrong? A very funny comedy about a very timely problem starring Paul Linke, Tara Brown, Patrick Censoplano, Jamie Gallo, Evelyn Rudie and DeCarlo. Composer Steve Mayer ("You Haven’t Changed A Bit, and Other Lies") provides the melody for “The Jewish Gift of Laughter” and incidental music as well. Costumes are by award-winning designer Ashley Hayes ("The Clown Prince"), with set, multi-media and lighting by James Cooper.
