At the center of the Tony Award-winning musical “Dear Evan Hansen,” the title character struggles with his self-worth and his place in the social ecosystem of high school. On Thursday May 10, the musical joined forces with TIME Magazine and the beauty brand Philosophy to present a symposium to discuss mental health issues that plague today’s society.

Participants included actor/activist Rowan Blanchard, “Dear Evan Hansen” book writer Steven Levenson, and mental health experts Dr. Harold Koplewicz (founder of Child Mind Institute), John MacPhee (Executive Director/CEO of JED Foundation) and Jeannette Pai-Espinosa (President of National Crittenton). The cast of the show performed the rousing anthem “You Will Be Found” to close the event. Check out our photo coverage below.
