The West End Wilma Awards prizes were recently awarded at the Hippodrome Casino and we were there in the front row, excited about seeing everyone! The event was hosted by The Curtain Up Show‘s Tim McArthur, who treated us to an opening performance of a song from La Cage Aux Folles and kept us giggling throughout the awards.

Wicked stars Kerry Ellis, Rachel Tucker and Suzie Mathers attended to present and accept awards, as did Beautiful star Cassidy Janson, and X Factor‘s Sam Bailey and Mrs Henderson Presents’ Tracie Bennett. We were also treated to performances from Kieran Brown, cabaret performer Sooz Kempner and the hilarious Four Femmes On The Thames.

West End Wilma has also released a charity single on which Kieran sings. It’s a comedic re-write of Willy Russell’s song “Tell Me It’s Not True”, with all proceeds going to support the National Autistic Society’s goal of seeing more relaxed performances in the West End.
