The Curtain Up Show, the weekly theatre chat show on Resonance FM (DAB and 104.4fm), has revealed the winners for Best UK Cast Recording, Best American Cast Recording and Best Solo Album of 2017, as voted for by the public!
With over 17,000 votes cast, the winners have today been announced for The Curtain Up Show Album of the Year 2017, in association with TodayTix. Plus, one lucky voter has also won a £100 gift card!
The winners were revealed live on The Curtain Up Show on Resonance FM this afternoon by Tim McArthur and Nathan Matthews, in the first episode of the weekly chat show’s 17th series. They said of the vote, “We’re delighted by the phenomenal response with the voting. It was hard enough whittling it down to just six nominees for each category, so we’re just glad that the final decision was left to our listeners. That’s the hard job!”
Tim and Nathan also let us know their thoughts on the lucky winners:

We just know that London audiences are going to love this show when it (eventually) makes its way across the pond! Benj Pasek & Justin Paul are miracle workers. They’ve created a musical masterpiece, and if you’ve seen their latest work (The Greatest Showman) you’ll know they’re certainly not one trick ponies!”
