Arts training can be incredibly valuable but sometimes the costs can mean people can be excluded from training altogether. If you’re considering arts training and would like to know more about bursaries and how to apply for funding, check out the National Youth Arts Trust.

We partnered with this fantastic charity in 2017 for our Social Ambassador programme, and their constant dedication to making arts funding more accessible is inspiring. National Youth Arts Trust bursaries are granted to young people between the ages of 7 and 25 who are unable to access opportunities in the arts due to their financial circumstances. If this sounds like you, or someone you know, let them know about the NYAT bursaries.

“We believe that the performing arts should represent their audience, and be created by all of society not just by the few. The arts need to examine the entirety of human experience, not just a small section.

We provide bursaries for music lessons, dance classes and drama school (recall) audition and tuition fees to those who cannot afford to fund themselves. Our priority for the next grant giving round will be on applications for drama lessons or drama school audition and tuition fees.”

Applications for bursaries are currently open – the next deadline is 6 April 2018!

For more information on our criteria and how to apply, visit the National Youth Arts Trust.
