About Heathers

Honey whatcha waiting for? Enrol at Westerberg High in the West End because school is in session at Heathers. Bring your croquet mallets and book Heathers tickets in London on TodayTix.

You won’t need to freeze your brain here. See all your favourite parts of the Heathers movie in this coming-of-age musical: trips to 7-Elevens, prairie oysters, and plenty of high school tiffs. Laurence O'Keefe and Kevin Murphy add a musical twist to the Heathers tradition — preppy songs and powerful ballads bring troubled teenagers to life.

The high school musical’s taken over London, and according to London Theatre, “this teenage tragedy is now a razor-sharp show.”

September 1, 1989. Veronica Sawyer is an outcast, desperate to fit in and gain popularity among her high school peers. But after winning over the three most beautiful girls at Westerberg High (Heather Chandler, Heather Duke, and Heather McNamara), people finally start to take notice of her.

A new mysterious guy shows up, and after a romantic meeting over a frozen slushie, Veronica’s life is suddenly turned upside down. What starts off as a simple joke, soon turns into a murderous revenge plot to take down anyone who steps in their way. Make sure you step into the candy store.

More information about Heathers

Even though the Heathers film tells of American teenagers, the Heathers musical found home in Britain. Since it opened at The Other Palace in 2018, the show's played two West End runs and a UK tour. Now Heathers makes a grand homecoming to The Other Palace and it's definitely top of the class.

Over the years, many West End stars have starred in Heathers. Carrie Hope Fletcher, Jodie Steele, Sophie Isaacs, Jamie Muscato, Christina Bennington, Jordan Luke Gage, and Frances Mayli McCann have all played the infamous Heathers and J.D. in the West End. Like a real high school, the Heathers class changes often, so you’ll want to book many times to see all the stars in action. By the end of Heathers, you will wish you could go back to high school.

What to Watch For:

  • Heathers became the first show at The Other Palace to go from a workshop to the West End. Since Heathers, Be More Chill has also enjoyed the same journey. Be More Chill was at the Shaftesbury Theatre in summer 2021.
  • Look out for the new songs in Heathers, added for the West End production. Heather Duke sings “Never Shut Up Again” in Act One as she becomes “head Heather.” Veronica Sawyer then sings “I Say No” in Act Two.
  • Unlike the movie, the musical adaptation of Heathers features characters from the afterlife, with appearances from those who are killed-off earlier in the plot. Warning: The ghosts of the dead remain in the costumes (or lack of) that they were wearing when they were killed.
