Check Out The An American In Paris Launch Event
Opening in March 2017 at the Dominion Theatre, An American In Paris is ready to take the West End by storm! This classic show is directed and choreographed by Olivier and Tony® Award-winner Christopher Wheeldon, featuring the music of George and Ira Gershwin.
In anticipation of the show arriving on the West End, An American In Paris hosted a launch event hosted by none other than the award-winning ballet performer Darcey Bussell!
The London cast features Leanne Cope and Robert Fairchild reprising their Broadway roles for which they both nominated for Tony Awards. Starring as Lise was actually Leanne’s professional debut – a Tony nomination first time out!
Not familiar with the show? It follows Jerry Mulligan, an American GI striving to make it as a painter in a city suddenly bursting with hope and possibility. After a chance encounter with a beautiful young dancer named Lise, the streets of Paris become the backdrop to a sensuous, modern romance of art, friendship and love in the aftermath of war…
So, there’s romance, gorgeous dancing, a Gershwin score and Tony nominated performers…
You might say we’re looking forward to this one!
