Long Wharf Theatre

Founded in 1965, Long Wharf Theatre is one of the Northeast's premier regional theatre companies, located in New Haven, Connecticut. In 2022, it left its home venue on Sargent Drive and is now producing its works at various spaces around New Haven. The company is known for producing new works and fresh revivals of classic shows. Many of its productions have gone on to Broadway runs, including American Buffalo; I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change; and the Pulitzer-winning plays Wit, The Gin Game, and The Shadow Box. In 1978, Long Wharf itself won the Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre.
